Garth Marenghi's Darkplace

This is a British series that Deacon showed me back on T3. It's a spoof of an 80's horror series written by and starring Garth Marenghi. The joke is that this show was made in the 80's but was too radical for BBC and only now can they air the episodes. Here's a statement about the show from Marenghi's website:

'Darkplace was scripted and directed by the best-selling horror writer Garth Marenghi, known to thousands as the author of such classic chillers as The Ooze (can water die?), Afterbirth (a mutated placenta attacks Bristol) and Black Fang (rats learn to drive). In addition, Marenghi starred as the show’s lead character, Dr. Rick Dagless M.D., a maverick doctor battling against the evil forces lurking in a standard-sized hellmouth underneath a hospital in pre-apocalyptic Romford.'

Even though there's only a few episodes, I would rank this among my favourite shows of all time. Watch the opening credits and you'll see why:

If that doesn't have you chuffed to bits then watch this scene in which Dagless saves a funeral crowd from the living dead:

Finally, this is a musical number by Sanchez:
The temperatures too hiiiiiigh.

With some clever YouTubing you should be able to watch all the episodes. Do it.
